A Little Bit About Tessa

I was born in Buffalo, NY, but moved to Kanazawa, Japan, soon after my birth. My family and I moved back to the U.S. when I was 13 years old. I attended and graduated from a high school in southcentral Kentucky, then moved to Louisville to attend the University of Louisville, where I received my Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Music and Anthropology.  I met my husband while I was a senior in college, got married after graduation and had two sons. I worked in a corporate setting while we raised our children. I went back to school in 2012 and earned a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from Spalding University. I received my clinical license (LCSW) in 2018. Gaia Healing, LLC, was opened in 2022.

I welcome all people in my practice. I believe that love is love, no humans are illegal, and that Black and Brown lives matter. I strive for body neutrality and cultural competency. I am an aspiring ally to the LGBTQ+ community and the historically marginalized communities of color. It is my desire and hope that you will feel safe, heard and supported during your time with me. I look forward to working with you.
